My Inspiration

My Inspiration
Ever since I was a child I was amazed by details in nature: the intricate lines on a leaf, the variety of colors of a bug, and even the designs found on rocks. Using the millefiori technique (an Italian glassmaking technique) with polymer clay I have enjoyed creating my own designs with a great deal of detail inspired by nature.

How I Make My Jewelry

How I Make My Jewelry
First I draw the design and pick out the colors of clay I'll need.

Then I make all the needed shapes: triangles, rectagles, circles, etc.; with the appropriate colors.

I start with one side of the design and start putting it together little by little.

I keep adding more pieces of the puzzle......

Until finally I've created one big design!

I evenly roll it until it's less than one inch in diameter.

Then I slice it, bake it in the oven, sand it, buff it, and wrap silver around it or glue a magnet to it..... it's finally done!
